Blaming It On A Hit Squad

Apparently, Denise’s own father was a Florida State Trooper. And whether he knew anything about what his daughter had done or not, he told police that he believed Ed was killed by a Columbian hit squad. He said that it was probably ‘payback for Ed’s secret government work.’ But police knew they had to keep checking into Denise’s involvement in the death of Ed. She had the most to gain from it all, something that the authorities would soon find out about.

She Was Having An Affair

As the investigation continued, the police would be led to one of the evening security guards at the marina by Gilbert’s Resort where Ed’s boat was docked. The guard’s name was Dave Campbell and the story was, he and Denise were having an affair. But the authorities also knew that they needed to be careful in how to go about their inquest into the case, so they took things slowly at first.
