10. Diarrhea

A certain type of pancreatic cancer produces what experts call VIPoma (VIP is short for vasoactive intestinal peptide), a tumor that releases a substance that sends more water into your gut. This excess water in the intestine can result in severe diarrhea.

Another way that pancreatic cancer affects bowel movement is through malabsorption. It has been mentioned that pancreatic cancers secrete enzymes that help digest, and absorb food in the gut. When these are impaired due to the abnormal growth of cells in the pancreas, food taken is isn’t digested well or fully absorbed, triggering diarrhea as well.
