9. Nausea and Vomiting
Pancreatic tumors affect different processes within the organ, particularly those that produce digestive hormones and enzymes that aid in the breakdown of food. When there is an imbalance of these, one may feel upset in the stomach, which can be due to over production of gastric juices that can irritate the gut. When this happens, a patient might feel nauseous, or may even vomit as a result.
Also, growing tumors could cause blockages in food passageways. Pancreatic growths may press on or totally close off part of the stomach and intestine, preventing food to go through. This can also lead to nausea and vomiting, depending on the severity.
