6. The House of Laments, Guanajuato, Mexico

The historic House of Laments was the site notorious for the Tadeo Fulgencio Mejia serial killings between the 1890s and the 1900s. The suspect of the murders was motivated by the idea of communicating with the spirit of his dead wife. Even to this day, locals report hearing what may be cries from the victims of the murders.

7. The Borley Rectory, Essex, England

The Borley Rectory in Essex County, England was once known as the most haunted house in England. It is a Gothic-Style mansion built in 1862 as a residence for the rector of the Borley parish and his family. Paranormal phenomena have occurred here since it was built. It was destroyed by fire in 1939 and was completely demolished five years later.
