The Borley Rectory in Essex County, England was once known as the most haunted house in England. It is a Gothic-Style mansion built in 1862 as a residence for the rector of the Borley parish and his family. Paranormal phenomena have occurred here since it was built. It was destroyed by fire in 1939 and was completely demolished five years later.
