Don’t Bother Tipping

Unlike everywhere in America, tipping in New Zealand is really not expected. It also isn’t considered rude if you choose not to leave a tip since those in the service industry feel that they are already getting paid properly for their work. If you must tip, anything more than 10% is considered too much, and be sure to never tip anyone who is not part of the hospitality type of services.
