The State of Eritrea is a country located on the coast of the Red Sea in East Africa. It is one of the smallest countries in Africa and has many historic and touristic places for travellers to explore. However, Visa processes and visitor permits are extremely controlled and the government of Eritrea uses tough measurements to control the entire country. Oftentimes, visitors are rejected due to non-friendly policies for tourists even after presenting all mandated documents, invitation letters, verified roundtrip flight tickets, confirmation of hotel reservations and evidence of sufficient funds for their stay in the country. Most visitors allowed to visit Eritrea are restricted to 14 days of stay and any visa extensions are often declined.
