The government of The Republic of Uzbekistan, an isolated and landlocked country in Central Asia, doesn’t encourage tourism. Though the country itself has striking scenery, a rich and diverse natural environment and could surely be a preferred place for travelers to enjoy, Uzbekistan doesn’t welcome visitors in a number of different ways: discriminatory immigration procedures, repressive laws and censorship of all sorts. For the Visa application, there aren’t specifications about invitation letters or hotel vouchers and getting the permit to enter the country can be less complicated than countries like Russia. Though Visas may seem easy to acquire, many recorded cases have been found in which visitors are turned back to their point of embarkment falsely accused of espionage after their Visas have already been granted.  Uzbekistan has a repressive government and news reporters and journalists have been sent to jail for legally covering news and event in the country.
