Neysa Tonks, A Mother First And An Adventurer Second

Neysa Tonks, who was from Utah, and had been visiting Las Vegas at the time of the festival with her boyfriend. They were watching the concert when the bullets began to fly and her boyfriend shares that they had ducked down during the first rounds that were shot. When the gunfire seemingly stopped, they decided to make a run for it, and her boyfriend was actually hit by a number of bullets from Paddock’s guns. But when her boyfriend looked back for Neysa in the chaos, he shares that she had been fatally hit, and was lying on the ground.

A Family In Mourning

Neysa’s brother, Cody Davis, shares that her boyfriend said, “He said he saw her take her last breaths, and stayed there with her,” until she died. Sadly, she has 3 boys aged 14, 17 and 24 that she has now left behind, not of her own devices. Her brother shares, “She was a mom first, and an adventurer second. She was over the top fun, almost ‘too crazy’ fun. She always made people laugh.” Her brother even went on to share with his own daughters, “I try to tell my girls, you just never know what’s going to happen. There are so many bad things that happen in this world.”
