Sandra Casey, A Special Education Teacher Loved By Many

Sandy Casey was a 35-year-old special education teacher who attended the 3-day Route 91 festival alongside a group of other teachers from her school, as well as her fiancé, Christopher Willemse. The couple was set to get married sometime soon, supposedly waiting just to check out one more venue before deciding where they were going to hold their wedding. Willemse shares that when the shooting began, Sandy immediately fell to the ground telling her fiancé that she couldn’t feel her legs.

Her Fiancé Attempts To Save Her Life

Willemse courageously stuck his finger into her wound while trying to carry her to safety, despite all the gunfire. According to a report of what had happened to them, “When she stopped responding, he told her that he loved her and that she was amazing.” And while he’s attempting to bring her body back to her family, he posted a photo of the two of them during a happier time and wrote, “As I sit and mourn such a beautiful life gone too fast, all I can say is look up and watch the birds fly high and free today as that’s where I feel you smiling down upon all of us. I love you baby girl! Love you to pieces!”
