By the time that officers reached his room at the hotel, Paddock had already put a bullet to his head and committed suicide. Paddock’s own brother, Eric, says, “He was a wealthy guy, playing video poker, who went cruising all the time and lived in a hotel room.” Apparently, Eric seems just as surprised as everyone else at these tragic events. Meanwhile, an active investigation is still ongoing.
