Susan Smith, A Pillar Of Strength

53-year-old Susan Smith, who worked for the Simi Valley Unified School District in California, was an office manager in the elementary school level. Apparently, Susan had traveled to Las Vegas for the 3-day event as she was known to be a big country music fan, and had been looking forward to the festival for quite some time. She had two other friends who were also with her during the concert who were luckily unharmed.

A Welcoming Smile With A Big Heart

Susan, who was married and has two children, sadly leaves them behind due to her death. One of the father’s from the school she worked for, Lesley Prince, shared his sentiments with tears pooling in his eyes saying, “She was just such a sweet person. She’s the one who told me my daughter was accepted here. I’ve known her for three years. She was just wonderful.” Another person from their school district, Jake Finch shared, “She was wonderful. She had a great sense of humor. She’s patient and kind. She’s the hub… really the heart of the school.”
