Frances Newton

Frances Newton called the cops one night, frantic because someone had killed her husband and her two children. She said that the killer was a drug dealer who was out to collect money from her partner. However, cops discovered that the gun used to kill her family actually belonged to her lover. Moreover, authorities discovered that she had taken out a life insurance for her entire family just a few weeks before. There was overwhelming evidence against her, but she remained insistent of her innocence. After 17 years in jail, Newton died by lethal injection in 2004.

China P. Arnold

China Arnold had lived with boyfriend Terrel Talley in an apartment complex with her children and her 29-day old daughter, Paris. They had an argument one day in 2005 over the baby’s paternity, and in her rage, Arnold put the baby inside the microwave for over two minutes. The infant sustained internal injuries and died the very next day. She claimed that had been intoxicated at that time. She was arrested soon after, but was released due to lack of evidence. Eventually, her guilt was proven and in 2008, she was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility for parole.
