From this photo alone, one can only imagine the kind of horror and desperation the residents of Pripyat must have felt upon finding out that they needed to evacuate their hometown. Aside from left over dolls, hospital facilities and homes, something as simple as a deserted green bottle and decaying cash register just makes you sense the hopelessness that the people must have felt.
