The Sarcophagus
In order to help contain the radiation poisoning, a sarcophagus was built around reactor 4. Its purpose was to stop, or at least lessen, the amount of radiation being released into the air. If the sarcophagus should ever collapse, the lives of 100 million people would be at stake.
