Even as a child, Dru’s mom described her as outgoing. She Said, “Dru was everybody’s friend. She’d light up a room anytime, or any place she walked in.” In University, she was part of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and had a wide social circle. And even in her young life, she was very hard working and determined, she had her sights on traveling and she would do what it took to make it happen.

Working Hard To Fulfill Her Dreams

In fact, Dru was so resolute about going to Australia that she held down two jobs to earn enough, all the while studying full time. She worked for Victoria’s Secret store in the Columbia Mall in Grand Forks during the day, and at night she held a job at the El Rico Nightclub. For most students, holding down two jobs while studying proved to be too much. But Dru was determined to make enough money to get Down Under.
