Extensive Decomposition

Because of the amount of time it took to find her body, and the harsh weather conditions it had sustained, Dru’s body was in a serious state of decomposition. According to the medical examiner, he couldn’t tell whether she had died due to the lacerations on her neck and body, or because she suffocated from the bag around her head, or if she had just been left there to die.

Getting The Support They Needed

It would seem that Dru’s parents and boyfriend, Chris Lang, would come together to get through this unbearable time. Although authorities and volunteers searched the premises where Dru’s body was recovered, they had never found anything before. Lang had said, “The drifts were five feet high.” And when Dru’s body was finally found, he went on to say, “It just kind of feels numb. I woke up this morning, and I just knew for sure it was going to happen today. Now I know she’s been at peace for a long time.”
