As soon as the authorities made it back to Columbia Mall in Grand Forks, they found that Dru’s car never left the parking lot. In fact, not only was her 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass in the same spot, the doors were unlocked and her newly purchased bag was there. Even more alarming, her purse, wallet, and identification were all left behind. The only thing missing was Dru. From that moment forward, with the rest of the evidence they were able to gather, the police concluded that Dru had been kidnapped.

Where To Start?

When the authorities traced Dru’s cellphone records, the last known location where it had a signal was 27 miles out of Grand Forks, in Fisher, Minnesota. Their search led them to piles of snow and basically a barren landscape of emptiness. But back at the police station, they decided to start looking into the convicted sex offenders that lived around that area. One name popped up, and it was the one name that they needed to make a break in the case.
