It’s Not That Big
With the right camera angles, lighting tricks, and other techniques used to make objects appear a lot bigger than they really are on TV, you would never think that the wheel is only six feet in diameter. Although it is not as big as it looks, it does weigh 2,400 pounds, with 200 lights that can shine in 2 million colors, equipped with 73 stainless steel pins which hit the dial as it spins.
It is quite heavy, but fortunately for the contestants, they all get several minutes of practice spinning the wheel to calm their nerves before the show starts.
