Inappropriate?
As Clare and her boyfriend, James, entered the venue for the dance, she heard one of the volunteers comment on the length of her dress, telling her that what she was wearing was too short and did not follow the rule for dress length. Despite all the measuring and re-measuring she had done on the dress to avoid being reprimanded for it being deemed inappropriate, what she dreaded the most happened.
