The finger length test
Although the dress was already perfect as it hung from the rack, Clare loved it even more the minute she put it on. The sparkly dress fit her perfectly when she tried it on herself and only one thing remained to be seen before she could decide on purchasing the beauty: the fingertip test. For this, Clare dropped her hands, making them hang relaxed and freely by her sides, praying that the dress would go farther than her fingertips in order for her to finally make the decision to buy it for prom.
It did, with some length to spare.
