9. Severe Headache
A severe headache, especially one unlike any you have experienced before, should not be neglected. It may be a sign of something serious, and could be much more than just a migraine. If you are over 40-years-old and have never suffered a migraine, but suddenly feel pain in your head, call for help immediately. Migraines usually occur gradually as opposed to headaches caused by stroke. This is because of the sudden increase in blood pressure in stroke causes the swelling of the blood vessels in the head, thereby increasing the pressure of fluids around the brain.
