1. Paralysis
Paralysis is the inability of a muscle to move and is one of the most common signs of the occurrence of a stroke. It is so common that statistics show, close to 90% of stroke patients have some form of paralysis due to the impaired function of the brain brought about by starvation of oxygen. Paralysis is usually on the side of the body opposite the side of the brain damaged by stroke, and could affect any part of the body where the messaging between the brain and muscles are impaired.
