Another Death Planned

Rader’s last murder had occurred in the year 1991, and although it wasn’t his plan to make it the final one, that’s what would happen. The police search into the BTK Killer case had unfortunately gone cold, and while it left Rader the chance to live his double life, he was already planning out when he would kill again. And since he enjoyed the attention so much, he would chose to bait the authorities once more. Thankfully, this would also be what did him in.

His Mistake

Rader had filled a cereal box with details surrounding his next planned murder and left it in the back of someone’s pickup truck. But the owner never bothered to look at it and just threw it away. The BTK Killer then contacted police to tell them about it, and so they tracked it down, finding his notes. He had also asked them if he could “communicate with police via a floppy disk?” and unbeknownst to him, police knew this would be their chance to finally catch the elusive BTK Killer.
