Getting Married

After Rader settled into a so-called normal life, he met the woman who would become his wife, Paula Dietz. The only Dennis Rader that she had known was one who was considered a gentleman. Although he couldn’t hold down a normal job, his wife believed that he was a good guy, liked by most that knew him. But like everyone else in their community, she was completely fooled.

Rader’s Daydreams

Somehow, Rader was able to somewhat compartmentalize his life. On one side, he was the doting, gentlemanly husband that was always present at church and good to his wife. And on the other, he was having continuous daydreams of finding women to bind, torture and kill. It was a personal juxtaposition that was soon going to be screaming to come out.
