Growing Up In Wichita
Growing up in Wichita gave Rader the kind of life that most Middle American families had. His father, a former U.S. Marine, made sure that his boys were active in their church, and Rader had even joined the Boy Scouts of America. But whether his family knew or not, Rader spent many days torturing animals for fun, which are actually early characteristics said to be associated with people who turn into serial killers. Little did they know, one day Rader’s name would up there with the rest of them.
Vicious Fantasies
What nobody else knew was that while he was torturing animals by strangling them to death and then hanging them, he was actually doing much more in his head. Rader would later on admit to having an incredible number of fantasies where he would bind, torture and kill women. But to the outside world, he was a normal and polite human being.
