Cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT is a type of talk therapy which aims to change negative thought patterns that get in the way of staying on task or getting things done by getting kids to think about and reflect on their thoughts, feelings, and behavior. It also helps kids replace negative thoughts with more realistic and positive ones, like when they think that what they did wasn’t perfect or good by getting them to re-examine their work, thereby resulting to better self-esteem.
