22. Kaiser Wilhelm II


Kaiser Wilhelm II was the German emperor and king of Prussia between 1888 and 1918. He ruled throughout World War 1 and seemed to enjoy the title Supreme War Lord. Although he was reluctant to mobilize the German army during the start of the first World War, his generals won him over to which he said “You will regret this, gentlemen.” The mobilization of the German army to attack Russia and France began the first World War which had cost the lives of millions throughout Europe and caused the embarrassing defeat of Germany. Wilhelm spent the last days of his life exiled in the Netherlands where he died in 1941.
