30. King Herod
Also known as Herod the Great, king Herod ruled from 37 BC to 4 AD. He ruled Judea under the Roman empire. King Herod was mentioned in the New Testament of the Bible several times. He was depicted as the king who murdered all the Hebrew boys under the age of two after news of the birth of the “King of the Jews” broke out for fear that one of them might take his crown, as the prophecy in the Old Testament stated.
