Beginning The Search

Elizabeth’s family had told the police that she was afraid of the dark. She was an incredibly sweet and kind little girl, and wouldn’t have any reason to disappear without foul play. Apparently, Elizabeth had gone through the woods to get home that day for some reason, and when the search began, it was soon getting cold, dark and rainy. They would also ping Elizabeth’s cellphone, which showed her to be somewhere in the woods, but they just couldn’t find her anywhere.

Everyone Was Helping Out

Considering that their town was not highly populated, the authorities first believed that Elizabeth had possible been taken by a child predator while she was walking home. Practically every division of the authorities came out to join in the search. Police, sniffing dogs, firefighters, highway patrol, helicopters, even the FBI came out to join in looking for the young girl. But then they would get the shock of their lives when someone had suggested that the person they were looking for was not an older male predator. It was a young 15-year old who happened to belong to their very own community.
