Mason pled guilty and would be imprisoned for two life sentences, and after seven years, he would be considered for parole. Fortunately for him, all other charges save for murder were dropped as a result of the plea deal. In six years he was due for a parole hearing, and would have been up for parole after serving only seven years in prison. But the parole board felt that something was sorely amiss.
