On The Run
The man had not just run a red light. He had gotten drunk and preyed on four teenagers. When he was stopped by the two police officers, he was frightened he would get caught for what he did. Being put to death was not an option- it was killed or get caught. He knew he had to be quick in what he was going to do, so he was. He shot them, drove off and left the car somewhere else before hitchhiking out of California forever.
