When Pam took a clerical job at State Farm, the first person she met was Betsy Faria, who later became her best friend, despite Betsy being 11 years younger than her. Betsy was friendly to everyone and was well-known among her colleagues for a having a fun-loving attitude. Betsy’s round face, bright-blue eyes, pink cheeks, and curly hair made her look like a model.
The high-profile murder case
Pam and Betsy stayed good friends up until 2011, when Betsy Faria, who was suffering from terminal cancer at the time, was found dead in her home, stabbed 55 times. Betsy’s death became a high-profile case, followed closely by the media. It sent shockwaves throughout the country and later unfolded a series of events which would expose the craftiness of the perpetrator. And while Betsy’s husband became the prime suspect for her murder, his acquittal has brought to light new evidence that would point all fingers to one person – Pam Hupp.
