Don’t Confuse The Dong
Vietnamese money is called ‘Dong’ and oftentimes, both the small and big bills tend to look alike. Before handing over money, be sure to take a closer look at it lest you hand over a ₫500,000 instead of a ₫50,000. Keep in mind that $1 is equivalent to around ₫23,400, so the conversion can be a tad bit confusing to those not used to dealing with Vietnamese currency.
