Don’t Leave Your Belongings Unwatched
Regardless of how you choose to travel throughout Vietnam, you should never leave your belongings unwatched. There is a reason why Vietnam has a reputation for theft and robbery, because it happens quite often and sometimes when you least expect it. If you happen to be on the train or the bus overnight, always keep your valuables and cash on your body, preferably in a secret pocket, if you don’t want to wake up to an empty wallet.
