When questioned about why she went along with the kidnapping, rape, and torture of Elizabeth, Barzee had said that Mitchell was manipulating her. She claims that Mitchell told her that, “he had a revelation from God,” and she wanted to follow God’s revelations. She claims though that personally, she knew that what she was doing was wrong.
