What Happened to Brian David Mitchell?
Mitchell, on the other hand, was sentenced to life imprisonment for what he did to Elizabeth. And with amazing courage and strength, Elizabeth spoke directly to Mitchell, whom she hadn’t seen since she was saved from his clutches. She told him, “I know that you know what you did is wrong. You took away nine months of my life that can never be returned. You will never affect me again.” Mitchell though refused to look at her and was even removed for singing and disturbing the peace. It didn’t matter though, at least she could rest knowing that he was going to live the rest of his life in prison.
