Dead in the cellar – JonBenet Ramsey
In 1996, six-year-old JonBenet Ramsey went missing. Her mother found a ransom note, and the police were immediately called in. Their house was thoroughly searched where she was found dead in the cellar. JonBenet was found to be strangled to death. This sent the media into a frenzy, blaming the parents of neglect. But they were eventually cleared of suspicion in 2008. Although John Mark Karr confessed to the killing in 2006, he was also cleared.
