Hacked to Death – Dian Fossey

You may remember Dian Fossey as the famed zoologist who spent most of her life studying gorillas in Africa and in advancing policies that protect these mammals from poachers and exploitation. But in 1985, she was found dead from an apparent machete wound inside her cabin. The weapon used was a hanging decoration on her wall. The reason for the attack wasn’t clear and the murderer wasn’t found.
