Don’t Accept Free Cookies from Strangers
The best things in life are free, or so the saying goes. However, in Amsterdam, free cookies are not one of those. Don’t accept and eat these cookies from strangers on the street as this is a scam to relieve you of your valuables. In other places, drinks are offered by overly friendly strangers in clubs or bars, but in Amsterdam, it’s cookies laced with something to knock you unconscious or at least render you helpless enough to rob you. Watch out for these types in the form of cute young Dutch girls or boys, or grandmas offering these treats.
