Don’t Expect To Be Shown Respect Automatically
Being an egalitarian society, showing respect for people in the country is not determined by one’s wealth, social status, or level of education as every person is considered equal. That means it’s a mistake to expect someone in the country to respect you based on who you are and not how you act towards others. Regarding others as below you is a major faux pas and given how direct the Dutch are, there would be no second guesses on how they will treat you.
