Don’t Greet Someone Using “How Are You?”
Strange as it sounds, don’t greet a German by saying, “How are you?” Unlike Americans, who use this phrase in the beginning of almost every greeting, Germans will actually believe that you are asking them how they are doing and find it incredibly invasive that you are asking them such a personal question.
