Berlin is notorious for its partygoers and night owls, but there is one club that precedes itself. The Berghain is notorious for people waiting in line for 3 hours and being turned away by its doorman, Sven Marquardt. While people try to follow such rules as ‘don’t be too drunk in line’ or ‘be more gay’ in order to get in, no one truly knows who will get pass or be forced to stay out. The club can handle up to 1,500 people inside its music-pounding walls, but if you’re not a true club-goer, you might want to choose somewhere with a more laid back atmosphere to spend your evening.
