19. Gastritis
The inflammation or swelling of the stomach lining, also caused by H. Pylori bacteria, is known as Gastritis. It is commonly the precursor of Peptic Ulcer Disease, occurring before the sores or ulcers appear. Its symptoms include gnawing or burning epigastric pain, nausea and vomiting and is commonly treated with the same drugs used in PUD and GERD.
