7. Menstruation
According to studies, 70% of women who are menstruating suffer from accompanying abdominal pain and cramps that can be very uncomfortable and sometimes, debilitating. This type of abdominal pain is more specifically known as dysmenorrhea, a condition that results from the strong muscle contractions of the uterus as it expels sloughed-off endometrial material in preparation for ovulation.
