He Kept Trying

Things wouldn’t get much better for Rocky after the surgery. He still struggle to get back on his feet and reach the stamina that he had as a rookie player. Again, people continued to tell him to just quit NFL all together, but Rocky’s perseverance and his sheer will power to succeed kept him in the game, that, and the fact that he had Art Rooney rooting for his success.

Finally Getting Better

As each season passed, Rocky did think about quitting, but then with a bit of convincing from a close teammate, he would choose to come back and train harder than he did the year before. And somehow, his scores began to get better. He was gaining in his speed, gaining in his strength, and finally four years after making it back on the team from the war, he would get the chance to prove himself.
