Coming Back From The Dead
After around 15 hours of lying in the freezing snow, Beck felt the warm sun on his face and miraculously, he opened his eyes. According to him, “Then came my epiphany.” He thought about his wife and kids, and it gave him the will to get up and move. He was frozen, almost to death, blind, he hadn’t eaten or drank anything for around 3 days, but he knew he needed to get back home. He told himself, “You cannot sweat the small stuff,” and thinking about never seeing his family again gave him the strength to do the unimaginable, trek on.
