In spite of Beck’s and his family’s joy over his recovery, Beck still thinks about the lives of those who were lost. The blizzard would go on to be considered one of the worst tragedies to ever be recorded on Mount Everest. From Beck’s group alone, there were 8 out of the 12 people who perished.
