Saying Goodbye

Sadly, white wasn’t meant to live a long life either. He passed away on April 1, 2010 from pulmonary embolism. He was 35 years old. He was buried in Newhall, in Los Angeles County, where he worked as a sheriff’s deputy for 5 years. And while his life may have been short, he made it count. He always thought of Stayner as his savior, and he made it his life’s mission to make sure other children never have to go through the same harrowing experience. And at the end of the day, he will always be remembered not for the bad that happened to him, but more of what he made of everything and the strong person he has become.
