Another Day, Another Boy

On February 13, 1980, Parnell brought the car out and prepared for the abduction. He was in kindergarten back then in Ukiah and was walking home from school. A classmate would always be with him, but on the last stretch, he was often by himself. And that was when the worst happened. And it was with the help of a teenager named Randall Poorman.

Refusing Help

Stayner had been originally asked to help. In fact, he was a reluctant accomplice in many of Parnell’s foiled plans. However, he failed all the tasks on purpose because he didn’t want the other innocent children to go through what he had gone through. So, Poorman stepped in because the old man new he had better chances with this one.
