Sadly, after some months of resistance work, she was caught with fake identification and sent to the Ravensbruck concentration camp where she was forced to work in the laundry department. But at her trial, she was able to trick the jury into believing that she was just a simple-minded housemaid and managed to escape death. After she was released, she was able to continue her work and after the war, even went on to write a memoir named ‘Things We Couldn’t Say.’
